Board Building

These past few months i’ve been thinking more and more about what i wanna do with my life. I know that i wanna be in the skateboarding industry but i am not the kind of skateboarder that does lots of tricks. I am more into cruising. I have knowledge of Carpentry and skateboard design, So i have decided that i want to build skateboards. I’ve been thinking about this idea for months, i am not as prepared as i would like to be, especially with my lack of funds. When i do obtain the funds, I will move forward with board building. Until then i will continue planning and studying!!!

Night Sk8

Went skating last night, had a blast learning to kickflip. Legs paying for it tho, I keep flipping it hella hard into my leg. Normally i’m a longboarder, but i’v been getting more and more into street/park.

Slide Gloves III

Not gonna take up too much time.I reorganized my slide pucks on my slide gloves, because they didn’t have full coverage and i was getting a big hole in them. Also, I took off the piece of bucket for the thumb and put a Corian sample that i cut.
CZECH IT OUT!!!
(still trying to pick off the Hot Glue from where the pucks were)

Homemade Landpaddle II

Like 2 days ago i was messin’ around with the land paddle that i made, and it bent and finally snapped. So yesterday I decided to make myself a new one. I used a umbrella canopy pole instead of that cheap aluminum canopy pole (yes i have gone through quite a few canopies).

Supplies/Stuff i had laying around:
wooden canopy pole that unscrews in half
fibratape
Bicycle Tire
Vans slip-on Shoe
Sheet rock screws

Tools:
Saw
Scissors
Hotglue
Gorilla glue
Drill/Screwdriver

I am not going to post my steps this time.

Homemade Land Paddle

I really wanted to try out Land paddling after i saw the Kahuna Big Stick, Really wanting to try it out, i decided to make my own. The supplies i used are
6′ canopy pole from a broken canopy,
old skateboard wheel
4 short screws
strip of bicycle tire
Hot Glue
Lighter
I pinched the end of the pole to fit in the core of the skateboard wheel, then hot glued it in place. I used alot of Hot glue on this part. Then i took the strip of bicycle tire and screwed it onto the skateboard wheel, I then proceeded to add hot glue to make it fit nice and snug, I taped up the pole cuz the paint was kind of powdery from the sun and was getting all over the place. I added the lighter to the top of the pole with some tape and There you go, Land Paddle, It has been tested and works nice. Although I do need to find a piece of bicycle tire with more grip.
